Let the Party Begin featuring Art Impressions

 Hello AI Fans!

Before I say anything at all, I want to say that today is a day we honor all our fallen U.S. military. They sacrificed their lives for the lives of others. From the depths of my soul, thank you so very much for your service. May your sacrifice never be in vain, nor forgotten.

Today I have a super fun card to show you that uses one of the sets from Art Impressions Girlfriends line! I don't know about you, but I ADORE the Girlfriends line of stamps!! They just are the ultimate display of what it's like to have the best Girlfriends in your life!! They are always having fun and laughing and just enjoying life!! This set, #5280 Practically Perfect, is no exception!! I want to attend the party they're at, don't you??!! LOL! I started with stamping the image onto a Copic friendly paper and then colored them using Copic markers. I've listed the markers below for your convenience. After getting it colored, I cut it out using the Nested Square Die set and then framed it using the brand new Scalloped square dies. I love how the largest of the dies has that decorative edge around it!!

That's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and until next time - stay crafty!!

Birdhouse Village card featuring Art Impressions

 Hello AI Fans!!

You still have time to enter the current challenge "Show Mom She's Special"! I created this card without a sentiment so you could use it for anything you want! It's always good to have cards like this in your stash for times when you need a card quickly. It would work perfectly for the challenge, don't you think? I stamped the images onto a Copic friendly paper and then colored them with the markers I've listed below. Those cute flowers are in the set too, and I just stamped a bunch of them and fussy cut them out to place around the birdhouse bases to ground the image. Of course I popped some of them up for dimension. LOL  For the background paper, I used a beautiful piece from 6033 Inspirational Easter PP.

So that's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and until next time - stay crafty!!

Tea Time for Mom featuring Art Impressions

 Hello Ai Fans!!

I truly hope that all Mom's and Mom figures out there had a wonderful day yesterday and was able to celebrate your day with family and friends! I wanted to make a card using the new 6024 Tea Time Set. I stamped the teacup onto a Copic friendly paper using Memento Tuxedo black ink and then created a mask for it so I could stamp the flowers. I knew the stamp wasn't going to fill the top of the teacup, so I stamped it once above the teacup, and then stamped it two more times on a separate piece of cardstock. After coloring them all up, I played around with the additional two bunches of flowers to figure out how I wanted to place them to get the look I wanted, and then got busy fussy cutting the pieces that I decided on. There are two separate pieces that are actually popped up from the flat image of the teacup and flower boquet. I'm a dimensional girl! LOL! I then stamped the sentiment on one banner, but cut an additional four banners with the same die.  I just glued them together and it comes out like home made thick chipboard. It makes the sentiment so sturdy, adds lots of dimension, and I didn't have to pop it up!

So that's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and until next time - stay crafty!!

Funny Birthday card featuring Art Impressions

 Hello AI Fans!!

I hope you had a beautiful Easter and that you don't have a belly ache from eating too many jelly beans yesterday! One of the many things I absolutely love about Bonnie's art is her amazing sense of humor! She is a master at it! Her characters and humor have had me addicted for sooooo many years!!! For today's card, I tried to do her art justice using 5369 Feline Set. I mean, if you know cats, they rule the roost, and I could totally see this happening! LOL! I started out stamping this hilarious image onto a Copic friendly paper and then colored it using Copic markers which I've listed below. Along with the stamp set, I also utilized 5726 Nested Circle Dies, 5972 BJ Decorative Margin Dies, and 6011 Basic Teal PP. I added some stickles to the candles and some Glossy Accents to the cake icing.

LOVE slimline card featuring Art Impressions

 Hello AI Fans!

I hope you enjoyed the weekend and had some beautiful spring weather! I just love when the early flowers start popping out of the ground and the buds start coming out on the trees! For my card today, I used the current ABC 123 Challenge that is going on right now for inspiration! Have you seen Renee's absolutely adorable baby card she made using the new dies released by Art Impressions? Oh my goodness, who wouldn't love to have that card to tuck away with their mementos!! For my card, I decided to use the adorable 5904 So Sweet Armfuls set. I just double stamped them and colored with Copic markers. One trick I used on the bear to try and make him look "fuzzy" is to take my Copic blender and just dab all over the bear after coloring him in. It moves the browns and creates the textured look you see. Since I wanted to spell out the word love, I knew this was going to have to be a slimline card, so #5940 Journal Cover Paper Pack Plaid to the rescue!!!  For the letters, I just cut them out using white cardstock and then colored them to match the outfits. I simply cut a white strip of paper to act as the sign post for them to hold. The fun daisies are from 5935 Fairytale Houses Set and the Copic markers I used are listed below.

Happy 50th featuring Art Impressions

 Hello AI Fans!

I'm finally back! I want to shout out a huge THANK YOU to Simone and Sara for covering for me while I was out sick!! Their work is so beautiful and amazing, and I very much appreciate them!!  So today, I have a card I made for the current Blog Challenge #400, Milestone Birthdays!!! It blows me away that we reached Challenge #400 and I also love that the challenge reflects this huge accomplishment!! I chose to use #5406 Mr Set and have him hold balloons reflecting a 50th Birthday. The best part is the die to cut him out, cut the slot for me to be able to put the balloon strings in his hand!  It was perfect! I started out by stamping his image onto a Copic friendly cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The colors I used to color him are listed below.

So that's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and until next time - stay crafty!!

Easter shadow box card featuring Art Impressions

 Hello AI Fans!

Are you loving all the beautiful Easter projects everyone is posting??!! I love this time of year! A time of renewal, faith, and hope. I'm starting to see a few sprigs of green grass slowly peeking out. Winter is definitely not done yet, but spring is coming! I wanted to create a fun shadow box card using a bunch of different Easter images available from Art Impressions. This box was a lot of fun to make! I started out by stamping all these fun images onto a Copic friendly paper and then coloring them with the Copic markers I've listed below for you. I just noticed I forgot to put the cute little white dots on the Peeking Bunny image, but I don't think it detracts from his adorable face. I built up the shadow box from a shadow box die set I have in my stash, and then cut out some strips from AI paper and used a grass die to create a fun polka dotted grass element. It just adds to the whimsy of this project. I used I love that this folds flat for mailing!

That top cross piece is supposed to add stabilization to the shadow box, but I used such a heavy cardstock I didn't really need it.  I wasn't sure if I was going to hang anything, so I went ahead and added it anyway.

And here's a good look at how dimensional this really is. I love it!

So that's it for me today! I hope you enjoyed my project. Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and until next time - stay crafty!!

Peeking Bunny Butt featuring Art Impressions products

 Hello AI Fans!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! The weather here was amazing, but it turned cold again on Sunday. But it's getting closer and closer to spring! It will be here before you know it! I've got an Easter card to show you today. I started with stamping the pot of tulips and that adorable bunny butt from #5870 Peeking Bunny Set onto some Copic friendly paper. The Copic colors I used to color everything is listed below. That fun sentiment is from 5867 Mini Easter Sentiment Set.  See that horizontal strip of paper across the bottom half of the card? That is actually the back panel that comes in Art Impressions paper packs. Don't forget that makes for a fun patterned paper that you can use as well! It's sooo funny that my Design Team sister Janet did the same with her card this past Thursday, so make sure to check out her post and how she used it! Great minds think alike! I used 6012 Basic Yellow PP. To mat that horizontal panel, I matted it with a piece of cardstock that I used the scalloped die from 5543 Journal Template Die Set.  To make the fuzzy cotton tail, I just pulled the end of a Q-tip off and cut it down to the perfect size for the image.

So that's it's for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit, and until next time - stay crafty!!

Some Bunny Loves You featuring Art Impressions

 Hello AI Fans!

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and were able to get a little crafting in! I've got a fun project to show you today and believe it or not, I didn't use a single Copic marker!! LOL! That's highly unusual for me! I created a cute little pocket frame all decorated up for Easter. I started by using #5902 Mini Scalloped Frame Dies in pink cardstock and glued it together. I then grabbed #5872 Bunny Gift Card Holder Set and decorated the front using papers from 5742 Easter Journal PP, only instead of having her hold the egg die that comes in the set, I decided I wanted her to be holding a heart. So I used 5721 Nested Heart Dies. I created a tag to slide into the top by just cutting one myself. I used 5867 Mini Easter Sentiment Set on the tag. How cute would this be to tuck inside an Easter Basket for your loved ones?

That's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and until next time - stay crafty!
