On the same day that my daughter and I went Whale Watching in Hermanus, we also took a detour to see the African Penguins at Stony Point in Betty's Bay. It's about an hour-and-a-half's drive from Cape Town and the entrance fee is very little. Samantha and I were impressed with the amount of penguins that we saw. And, she spotted the cool lizards that I have included here. I'm so glad she came along on this outing. We had a really amazing time.

Thanks, Rhonda! Thanks for commenting and I'm now following you on Instagram. I just read your latest post and I must say that the slower bungy jump experience is a great idea. I've never done it, but I would prefer that one. ;)

That picture of your daughter is incredibly lovely! I never think of penguins and Africa together. I don't know why - I should.

Thank you so much, Jen! I agree with you that it's hard to imagine penguins in Africa, but we have the Atlantic Ocean on one side and it's pretty cold. ;) Our African Penguins are a protected species. A few years ago there was a terrible oil spill and volunteers came from around the globe to help clean the penguins and save as many as they could.
