Friday night was Friday Night with Friends, an online quilting group. Friday was a busy day for me, but not quilting wise. My daughter Katerina was starting her Spring Break from college so I spent most of the day traveling to and from her school. But when it’s a choice between my lovely girl and quilting, Katerina wins every time!

The drive was pleasant and we did a lot of catching up. Before I went though, I spent Friday morning preparing the binding for Brickyard, my next quilt pattern after Stepping Stones. First, I played around with the idea of binding it in the same fabric as the background. I decided however to use the leftover jellyroll strips to bind it and add slight sparkle at the edges of the quilt. I like checking to see how my binding works on both the front and back before deciding.
