Morning,
Welcome to December ... Soon be Christmas!
I had a really nice day with a pal yesterday, with a super lunch out and then, instead of coffee in the pub/restaurant we adjourned to The Range where I bought some dies and some washi tape along with a dinky little Raymond Briggs Snowman - so cute next to my USB tree, that's it! The dex are UP!!!!
And now for some crafting .... I just LOVE this reindeer ..
- White C6/A2, 300gsm, card panel
- White card panel, cut to fit and attached using strips of dimensional foam tape
- Paper Artsy image (ZA19) stamped using Memento tuxedo black
- Christmas sentiment (borrowed from an attendee but I don't recall the make) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
- Peerless water colour paints used to add colour to Rudolph's nose and eyes
- Stardust stickles to bling it up
- We were challenged to make a card using "an item found about the hotel" and I found a Quality Street wrapper which I tied in to a knot for his bow tie and adhered using tombow glue
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
- Addicted to CAS - challenge No. 125 - SWEETS ... well, this is a BIT cheeky but I HOPE it counts as Rudolph's bow tie is an actual Quality Street wrapper!
- The Holly and The Ivy - challenge No. 20 - ANYTHING GOES
- Cardz4Guyz - challenge No. 183 - REINDEER
- CASology - challenge No. 277 - ROUND (like his nose/eyes/cheeks!
- Fab 'n Funky - challenge No. 373 - CHRISTMAS

And now, another make from the craft retreat but this one I finished at home so was able to photograph the usual views! This one is Clean And Simple to the Nth degree - hope you like it!

Now we've officially started December I can tell you that I've started putting up the dex at the Purple Palace, hangs head in shame and confirms they've been "in situ" a week or more! Still ... it's beginning to look a LOT like Christmas! To all the Bah Humbugs out there ... SORRY!

That really is a fantastically louche looking Rudolph on your first card Kathy! Fabulous.
Loving the uber-CAS birthday card too!
Happy Christmas Dex Revealed day!
Hugs, Sarn xxx
Two gorgeous cards, Kathy! I love the Rudolph card with the sweet wrapper bow and all the sparkle on the leaves card. It was lovely to meet you and spend time last week. Have a great weekend. xx
What a wonderful idea to use the sweet wrapper for your cute Rudolph's bow tie Kathy and the glittery leaves in that pretty arrangement work really well. I love your trees and the snowman was a great find too. I have to say that since we don't usually have any visitors at Christmas I don't do much in the way of decoration, but can appreciate how beautiful the coloured lights look. When our son comes here at Christmas from Australia we do make it more festive. x
Thought I recognised that sweetie wrapper, Love your glittery leaves too. I can see my Dec going up on Christmas Eve, maybe!
Your Purple Palace is aglow with Christmas festivities, Kathy! Love it! And I love your cards, too ~ especially that leering reindeer, tee hee!! Thanks for playing along at CASology! Hugs, Darnell
