Hi there readers,
Been a busy week, as they all are in the run up to Christmas. I've been wrapping presents, putting up decorations, trying to juggle my diary to see everyone, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but I do at least have a meal with my cousin and a pal booked for January; definitely something to look forward to in the post Christmas "lull". Had a nice lunch with friends yesterday ... main course a little disappointing but the dessert was TO DIE FOR!, friends we don't catch up with anywhere near as often as we should but .. busy lives and all that. It almost seemed like it might not happen though, as we woke up to white roads and snow coming down but ... thankfully, it stopped a little after 9am and the sun came out!
You know me though, I can almost always find time to craft! Been stuck in a bit of a Christmas or Birthday card rut (I blame new stash and, well ... Christmas, for that) so thought I'd try for an anniversary card ready for the start of 2018!
My card |
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope
Materials used:
- White C6/A2, 300gsm, card and matching sized envelope

And here's another make .... OK, so .. this one IS a Christmas card!

I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:-
- Simply Less Is More - challenge No. 358 - CANDLES (or something which depicts light/s) .... my thanks to Maaike for pointing out something I'd totally missed. It's supposed to be ONE LAYER CARD WEEK so my entry doesn't qualify. I plainly just skimmed rather than read the challenge - my apologies to my fellow LIM-ettes!

- Colour Crazy Challenge - challenge No. 49 - ANYTHING GOES - MUST be hand coloured

After having my LIM faux pas pointed out to me, I thought I'd best head back to my ToC and have another go ....
My second attempt for the LIM challenge! DOH! |

A very cute card you've made for the Less is More challenge. Your cards with hearts is also lovely. Have a nice weekend, Ankie
it's a fabuloously funny card, but I think you might have missed the one layer requirement? I'm still pondering on mine because of it ;-)
ARRRGGGHHHH! You're not wrong Maaike ... can't tell you how many times I've made THAT mistake .. it's back to the ToC for me!

All these cards are beautiful. I also had seen the new challenge at LIM and have been thinking about it and I also had missed that it's a olc! Well your extra card is simply stunning.
Fabulous cards Kathy - and you're not the only one who overlooks those few words 'one layer card' - I've done it more than once too! Loved all your cards and so glad I saw the Bright Christmas one - your little scene of lit-up houses is perfect for the LIM challenge.
Such a fun image and you brought it to life perfectly. Thanks for sharing at Less is More!
love the image on the first card Kathy. both great cards. lilian
Three super cards Kathy and love the heart image, and then the fun lady with her rudolph jumper and her Christmas tree hat, sad it wasn't right for LIM, but your third hits the mark, such prettily lit houses. x

Great CAS cards. Always love seeing your matching envelopes.
Thank you for joining us at Crafty Gals Corner for our Anything Goes challenge.
Yes, I too am in the 'Christmas' mode - and will be for a while yet. I'm not sure if I can make anything else *grin* Your anniversary card is fabulous, as are your two Christmas-themed ones! I need to start thinking about what to do in the 'lull'...I'm sure making Valentine somethings for my niece and nephew's classmates will keep me occupied! Delighted to see your creativity in the Addicted to Stamps and More gallery!

Wonderful Saturday post from you as always! I love your little one layer -that house stamp is great for CAS because it's practically one whole scene in one stamp! The pops of color look great too. Thank you for joining us at Less Is More!
