Family and Friends Gather for Grandma's 90th

My aunt, me, my mom, my grandma, and my cousin

For the past 3 weeks, Hubby and I have been gallivanting across 5 States to include 2 different family reunions - 1 was my grandma's 90th in La Jolla, California, and 1 was my cousin's wedding in Kansas City, Missouri. We also visited with family in Kansas, Atlanta, and Florida. Hubby was a real trooper giving up watching a big part of the Soccer World Cup and later Wimbledon, especially the epic match between South African Kevin Anderson and American John Isner. We were packing and flying back to South Africa during that record-breaking semi-final.

see each other because he lives in China
and I live in South Africa.

Thanks, Steve! You're so sweet!
Oh, these pictures are so great! I live in Maine and my sister lives in Alaska, so we seldom see each other, but we're practically neighbors compared with you and your brother!

Hahaha! I know what you mean!
BTW, I was born in Ellsworth Maine, but my parents moved back to Missouri when I was a baby. My dad was first Navy and then Army.
Wow your mum and your Grandma look so alike and Happy birthday to your Grandma

Thank you, Molly! Have a great week!
I love the word "gallivanting". That was my grandmothers word. So glad you got to go and wish you'd come to Kentucky sometime!

Awww! I wish I could have visited you! Every time I eat blueberries, I think of you! This trip there were lots of blueberries! And when I got back home, my mother-in-law had a punnet of them in my fridge. She did a great job being a Nana while we were away!
Welcome back. What wonderful pics, thanks for sharing them. God Bless your grandma. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful rest of the week.

Awww! You're so sweet, Patrick! I wish you lived closer to San Diego so that we could have met up! Blessings to you too. :)
I just love this family gathering, and wow---your brother in China and you in South Africa! You guys cover the globe! This is just wonderful :D

Ya, imagine how my mom feels! Her only two kids and both live far away from her. That means her grandkids (my kids) are also too far for regular visits. I'm so glad she and my step-dad were here over December, so I didn't feel too bad leaving them behind on this trip. It's very expensive flying! ;)
Have a great week!
