Saturday - woo hoo!

Morning readers,

Made it to another weekend and I hope you all have something nice planned this weekend.

My card .. bet you can't guess who it's for!!!
And a closer view of the grungey foiling

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my card

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of red card, cut to mat
  • Paper Artsy (ESN23) images stamped using Versafine satin red and Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Paper Artsy splatter (HTPX01) stamped using Memento London fog, I used this ink to stamp the I LOVE YOU around the outer edge of the front of my envelope too, which may not show up too well in the small photo
  • Using my WRMK "heatwave" tool I applied a kind of grungey foiling effect to the white sections of the heart, to make it a little more sumptuous
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Watercooler Wednesday - challenge No. 204 - MASCULINE ANYTHING GOES
  2. Moving Along With The Times - challenge No. 89 - HAVE A HEART
  3. Crafting With An Attitude - challenge No. 47 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Southern Girls - January 10th challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Just Stamping - January 18th challenge - JUST STAMPING

And another make ....
My card

And a closer view of the image panel
Materials used:
  • Cream A2/C6, 300gsm card (tent fold) and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of cream card cut to fit
  • One piece of funky foam, cut slightly smaller than my card front
  • Full coverage post it - to mask of my chosen shapes
  • Distress Inks in mustard seed, fossilised amber and festive berries applied using a mini blender and sponge pad through a stencil from the recent free with magazine gift from Simply Cardmaking and Papercraft (top triangle only) for the bottom triangle I used a moist baby wipe to knock back colour
  • WRMK banner die used to cut a small banner from a snippet of cream card
  • CAS-ual Fridays sentiment (from WTF!) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • CraftEmotions image (130501/1237 "Herbs and Branches") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink ... such a lovely dark black
  • To add some bling I scribbled diamond stickles to some of the "knocked back" circles and Anita's dimensional gloss to the blooms of my image

I mucked up the envelope so will have to make another at some point but .... I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Simply Less Is More - challenge No. 387 - SKETCH - see below and loosely based on a design of my own, you can see the original here. it's the 2nd in post .. FYI, colour me DEEPLY flattered, THANK YOU
  2. CAS On Friday - challenge No. 149 - FLOWERS
  3. Penny's Paper Crafty - challenge No. 143 - ANYTHING GOES

Who doesn't love new stash? I love the excitement of receiving a parcel of goodies though, if I'm honest, I was a little disappointed with the large size of the fab sentiment stamp .... it's really only ever going to be a DL card ... but FAB!

My sale goodies - Jan 2019. Paper Artsy ESN23 and ZA22 + Woodware FRS341
And I already inked three of the images from the set on the left - YAY!
I've had a bit of a week of it (stash acquisition) as I met up with a pal at Snazzys in Swindon too

You already know how excited I was when I saw the news at LIM (and yes, I've already made my card for the sketch, and will be uploading it later today). Congratulations! I love your cards today, especially that foiling on the heart, just the perfect amount of grunginess. And as for your shopping..... swoon.... I've been drooling over those chess stamps for a while now.

What great new stash Kathy and what a fabulous first card using some of it, with the pretty heart and the touches of foil and made to look like an envelope, a great idea! The card is beautiful, and again with lots of sparkle and such bright and beautiful colours and great contrast with the silhouette flowers over the top. What a great compliment from LIM to use your design for a sketch for the challenge this time, and so well deserved! x

Two fabulous cards, Kathy ! And thank you so much for the great sketch ! It seems that you inspired a lot of crafters and in a lot of different ways ! I love the new card you made with it. Love the contrast of the bright colours against the black for the herbs and branches. Thanks so much for sharing and for playing along at Less is More.
