Glitter Mishap

I grabbed a little container of what I thought was glitter off my desk and decided to use it on the following card. Now, I'm not sure what this stuff was/is, but it wasn't proper glitter. I'm thinking it was from the cheapie bin at Michaels, bought in a moment of weakness 'cause it was super cheap, flitter. (Meaning fake glitter.) I didn't realize it was pulverized styrofoam/pom poms mixed with a few flakes of glitter. So, in case you haven't already guessed, it didn't work so good when I put it on the card. So I was stuck with frantically wiping it off with Kleenex, which of course, made a mess.

Then I had to cover up that mess. I was afraid to reach for the a bottle of actual glitter so I went for that old standby, Stickles. But to cover up the mess, I had to be very liberal with the Stickles.

And, as you can see, I was maybe a bit too over-zealous with my liberalness.

Still, the card is for my soon-to-be-8 dd's birthday. And when it comes to 8 year old girls and glitter, I don't think there's such a thing as "too much".

Digi was a freebie from Dilly Beans.

Edited to add:  When I gave the card to my dd this morning she said, "Oooooh, I really like how (the centre of the flowers) look!"  So, I guess I was right.

  12. Indeed for daughters there's no such thing as too much glitter specially if you'd go for glitter and glam. =)

  17. Oh you are too funny...I've had many of those panic moments. Recently one of my Copics gushed a blob of ink on my almost complete image so I strategically placed a mini butterfly cutout over it. Couldn't even tell LOL! I love that bear and just spent at least 15 minutes searching the site for it. Bummer it was back in August! I love it and couldn't even find it to buy. Anyway...love the card!! I came over from Catered Crop :)

Okay, so ever since I started my blog (well, maybe not right from the get-go, it was probably a good six months or so before I realized you could change it from just "Leave your comment") I've tried to come up with something witty to type here.

*sitting with brow furrowed in concentration*...*staring at the ceiling while pursing lips*...*resting with head on hand while tapping foot*...

Nope, I still got nothing.
