I'm Still Here... At least I Think I Am

My goodness, where has the past few months gone? I can't believe its been so long since I last posted, although I did actually do a post at the beginning of the year but for some strange reason it didn't appear on here or in the draft section so Blogger must have eaten it I think lol.
Since my last post my health as been a little erratic and driving me batty but I have managed to get some crafting in here and there and would like to share a card that was made for my mums birthday using some of my favourite crafty items...

The card base is Adorable Scorable available from Hunkydory

The topper is also from Hunkydory from the Decadent Days range, as is the printed background behind the image. The flowers which I love, are from iamroses.com. (Sorry I'm unsure of the exact item numbers for the flowers used because I stupidly threw away the packaging when I sorted through them on arrival and put them all together in the box that I store them in but they have a large range of beautiful blossoms to choose from so be sure to have a look).

Using a piece of acetate cut slightly larger than the size of the card which is A5 to create a domed effect which was then tied using a white ribbon from my stash that was laced through eyelets that I punched into the adorable scorable. I added a few adhesive pearls and a sentiment from the topper pack to the front for extra detail to the outside of the card.

After the front was created I added an basic A5 card base, using a plain white heavyweight cardstock from The Papermill, lined with a pale green paper insert to the back giving me a space to add a personal message.

With the dimension of the card obviously an envelope wasn't going to be any good so I also created a box using my Crafter's Companion Ultimate Pro. I used the same backing card as the inside of the front of the card and silver mirri card, along with more of the ribbon, pearls and also some silver peel-offs from the Anita's range available from Docrafts to make it 'look pretty'.

I love how this card turned out and have used this style of card again already which I will hopefully get to share here another time.

I am sharing this on the Floral Fantasies blog as Brenda is celebrating her 5th Blogiversary and is asking her friends to share a project using their favourite craft items which in my case are pretty much everything that has been used in this creation :)

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges...
