Cute Easter Bunny Card

Aww, I think this this Easter card turned out pretty cute ! It was time consuming, but making the basket full of Easter eggs  (and the bunny himself) the way I did makes a big difference in the look of the card I believe.

I stamped and water colored the bunny image on white card stock then carefully trimmed it out.
Originally I thought I'd do paper piecing on it, something I never do, but couldn't find any papers I was happy with in my stash to use.

I did the same thing to the basket then oh so carefully cut it out with an Xacto knife.

Little scraps of pastel colored card stock were stamped with the teeny tiny egg image then hand cut with sharp, tiny scissors.

A small scrap of green card stock was "fringed" to make grass by snipping along one edge with the tiny scissors.

I layered and glued in place all of the eggs and grass behind the basket top to make it appear they were in it.

The basket is attached with a dimensional/pop dot.

I stamped extra bow images, cut them out, slightly bending them for dimension before gluing into place on top of the base images.

The bunny is glued in place on the torso mainly so the ears and arms pop away from the card base for some dimension.

The pale yellow, slightly textured card base was run through an embossing folder (oldie from Stampin' Up!, I think it was called Tulip) before adhering all of the pieces.

The rubber stamp images are from an old Close To My Heart stamp set.
Inks and card stocks were from Stampin' Up! except for the yellow card base which is unknown. I bought a set of them with matching side opening envelopes on clearance at Big Lots long ago.

Thanks for looking =)
