Ruth's First Christmas Tree (Ruth Galloway, #4.5)

A pleasant enough story. I hadn't read any of the Ruth Galloway series before, so I just kind of jumped in there with this one. While there wasn't much character development that could happen in this short length of a book, I connected with the characters well enough, quickly. All of the archaeological aspects of the story seemed pretty cool.
The writing style is a bit different than most other books; it somehow is written in more of a present tense, whereas a lot of the other books I read are written in more a past tense. Griffiths may write, "'I'll take it,' she says in answer to Leaf's raised eyebrows." ... instead of "'I'll take it,' she said in answer to Leaf's raised eyebrows." As this goes on in the book, it just seems different is all.
There are some slight hints at "adult" content, just vaguely.
Overall, a fun little holiday story.
