Ummmm....excuse me.....where the heck did July go? It's like *blink* gone. At the beginning of the summer I always make promises to my kids about the stuff we'll do in the summer.....and then I get to this point and start mildly freaking out because there seems to be no time left to do everything. Granted, we do seem to be further along this year than past years.....we had a (whirlwind) trip to New Brunswick & PEI and we've got our annual trip to Canada's Wonderland under our belt. It certainly doesn't help that since the beginning of June we've had ball tournaments every weekend except two.
And, really, I didn't help myself out at all this week with my Tiddly card coz.....
.....I went with a Christmas card so I can feel even more like summer is over. I used Santa's Helper, one of my favourites. I think I've used this image at least once every year since from when I first discovered Tiddly Inks. He's cute without being cutesy, kwim? Perfect for the teen boy set.
Do make sure you go check out the other fabulous Fabby Friday makes the rest of the DT has come up with. You can see 'em all right here.

As You Like It: ribbons or buttons - I do like ribbon.....but I like buttons more! Buttons are a cheap way to dress up a card and take it to the next level. And, they are much easier to get on there than ribbon! (:
I know exactly what you mean, Jan. My husband and I were talking about this just last night – where the heck has July gone?! I think those of us who live where summers are shorter feel this more. Growing up in a climate where it started to get warm in March and could stay warm into October even November, I didn't feel this way. Since having moved here, I do. Oh well...about your card, LOVE it! Like that image and the paper and heck...the whole thang!

ReplyDeleteI feel the same way! My family is already talking about Fall and Halloween. The stores here are already filled with Halloween and Thanksgiving ornaments and decorations and some already have their Christmas goodies out too. I always feel that I wait a whole year for summer, and just like that it comes and goes! Then school starts, then it's Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas and Summer feels like it's years away :-) Well, your card may bring you closer to the end of Summer, but it's a cutie for sure. Thank you for playing along with us at Crafty Gals Corner. Hope to see you again soon.
