I have been dragging my feet
long enough...
(click photos to enlarge)
It's time to gather,
and decorate for fall...
I bought this pretty shelf over the summer
and painted it...
but I just got it hung over the weekend...
being a blank slate,
it was a good place to start decorating for fall...
little clocks that no longer keep time...
teach you how to make time stand still,
and just relax...
tarnished silver,
and tiny pumpkins...
I love crows for fall...
since crows can be naughty,
and love shiny objects...
I gave them a pair of glass door knobs,
to keep them bedazzled...
fresh apples
are a favorite fall smell...
the garden Hydrangea
have become crisp to the touch,
and is time to gather them for drying...
I love the soft coloring...
an iron cloche,
and a stripey pumpkin
make a fun pairing...
Today I am joining...
and
Thanks for stopping by....

Well, you might be dragging your feet but you have managed to drag them beautifully! My Mom had a very similar shelf and she always called it a what-not shelf. I love your take on Fall! Crazy crows! xo Diana
Hi Bella,
I love your shelf and you've decorated it very well for Autumn. I've been dragging my feet too. I find it hard to face the coming cold weather. Thanks for sharing your inspiration.
Blessings,
Sandi
Very pretty! I love the cloche and the garden book. You did a great job decorating it!

Your shelf is so pretty, like all of your goodies. I have a little clock just like that one, they are so sweet whether they keep time or not. xx
The shelf looks lovely--I believe it is so easy to make something like that just look like clutter but I can tell you really put a lot of thought into each item you put on it and the placement. Great job!
I love your fall vignettes! You really have an eye for decor. Thanx for sharing! Hugs, ~Leena~
You sound like such a romantic soul..and your decorating reflects your personality. What a pretty, pretty post. Not just what you did but what you said along the way.
Wonderful!
Bella, I haven't started my fall decorating yet, so thanks for the inspiration. It all looks lovely. You have a special touch! ~ Sarah
Very lovely. So sweet and feminine.

I love the new shelves and you decorated them so beautifully for fall. Love the birdhouse on it and the old books, everything goes so well with the typical fall items like the hydrangeas and the apples fresh from the tree. The crows and shiny things make it all the more lively. Love it!
Bye,
have a great week,
Marian
Hey lovely lady...your shelf is decorated beautifully! Love the hydrangeas and all the whites. The area really pops for fall!!
I'd love if you stopped by and shared this at my linky party>>http://www.thevintagefarmhouse.com/2011/10/trick-or-treat-giveaway-and-linky-party.html
I have been dragging my feet about decorating for fall too. Your little shelf looks so charming. I like the crows. When I walk from my house to my local co-op, there is a crow who follows along the way. He's become my little pet.
Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

Love it, what a great shelf. I love the detail of the cut work on the sides. You have decorated it beautifully. The crows and apples look so cute mixed in with the lovely dishes, hydrangeas and silver. Great display piece and you have designed it beautifully. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
Beautiful pictures and I love the crows but unfurtunaly I've never seen them in Sweden sigh. Where to find theme?
Hugs, Elna
