It's the weekend and one of the few between now and Christmas!

Morning readers,

I bet you have loads of stuff to be doing this weekend - buying presents? Wrapping them? Writing cards? You CAN'T still be making them - can you? If you are then GOOD LUCK! I don't seem to be able to stop making Christmas cards myself but have sent most of mine so MUST be working on my 2019 quota!!!

I also acquired some new stash recently so wanted to break the seal ....

Now, on to today's make, which actually deploys BOTH new stencils .....

My card
And a closer view which (I HOPE) shows the stencilling detail

The front, back and inside of my card, along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White A2/C6, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of pearlescent amethyst cardstock (DCWV) cut to mat
  • Using Aldi stencil brushes I applied Memento London fog ink through a stencil (Dutchdoobadoo 470.715.609) and then Ranger Archival majestic violet through the floral feather stencil (Dutchdoobadoo 470.715.117)
  • Happy Little Stampers (from their Butterfly Birthday set) sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Woodware floral image (JGS439 - small fennel) stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Stardust stickles to embellish the fennel
I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:-
  1. Watercooler Wednesday - challenge No. 199 - FEMININE ANYTHING GOES
  2. Crafty Creations - challenge No. 379 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. That's Crafty - December 5th challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  4. QKR Stampede - challenge No. 325 - ANYTHING GOES
  5. CardzTV - challenge No. 77 - ANYTHING GOES

And now, spookily enough - A CHRISTMAS CARD! I have no idea why I am still (bordering on) obsessively making Christmas cards since I have finished my 2018 quota ... but ...

I like your card - it's got a slightly quirky look, I have that set - must dig it out. I haven't written a single card yet, although I've been making them all year, and I was surprised this week when I received my first couple of cards! I'd better get a move on.

Oh Kathy, I love the way you've combined the stencils in your lovely card. The stencilling is subtle enough to add interest but doesn't take away from the beautifully stamped fennel. What a lovely surprise to see such a completely finished card, stamped on the back as well as the inside. Love it! And love the envelope as well. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
