Snowy Mountains Scene with Sponging

Thanks for visiting my blog today.
I am part of a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all around the world who are training together in Kylie Bertucci’s Demonstrator Support Program 2019-2020 to grow and improve our Stampin’ Up! Businesses.

Each month we join in a fun Blog Hop together, sharing our creations with each other and with many other people around the world.
After viewing my blog, please click on the blog links at the bottom of the page to hop on to see the awesome creations of the other Demonstrators in our training group.

Do you love the snow? There is such beauty in it, isn't there!
I love the beauty in snow flakes and how each one is different. I love the glistening of snowy mountains, the snow covered trees and wildlife leaving behind their footprints in the snow.

Recently I began a Technique Club with some of my class participants, where they come along each month to learn a new technique. The first technique I chose to teach them was background sponging.
After practising the basics of background sponging, we went on to use different masking techniques with our sponging to create some really beautiful scenes.

For this Snowy Mountains card I used large sticky notes which I cut to form the rolling mountains and hills.
I laid them on the card one at a time and using a circular motion, sponged along the edges to form the beautiful mountains.
Watching the scene take shape as you sponge is amazing and the finished effect is just beautiful. No two scenes will ever be exactly the same, which means every projects is a unique piece of art.

I used the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set for the trees, Sailing Home Stamp Set for the birds and Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set for the sentiment. I also added some Rhinestones.

I really enjoyed creating this card using the background sponging technique. I hope I have inspired you to give it a try.

Now please hop on to the next blog in our Blog Hop to see more amazing projects.
