Forever & Always Farewell

It's a month since I hopped with

so today it's time to hop again!

We are so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop for ideas and creative inspiration. We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support.

You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.

The theme for the hop is Thank You.

Forever & Always stamp set combined with Happy Thoughts stamp set and a masking technique are the base of this card.

I made the card for a technique class and decided to go back to some basics!

Card Measurements

Card base:    29.7cm x 10.5cm scored at 14.9cm and folded

1st layer:    14.5cm X 10cm

Inner layer:    14.5cm x 10cm

Copy paper:    1 sheet

Instructions

  • Mask the area to be coloured by tearing a piece of copy paper in two and laying it over the 1st layer with a gap between the two torn edges
  • Colour the area between the masks with blending brushes (I used Granny Apple Green, Polished Pink and Misty Moonlight) then remove the masks
  • Stamp 3 large flowers and 3 small flowers on the spare copy paper and hand cut them just inside the outside edge using paper snips
  • Add a very thin line of glue to the edges of each of the flowers and waited for it to dry so they are repositionable (I keep them with my stamps for any further use)
  • On the 1st layer, stamp the 3 small flowers at the bottom of the coloured area (masking as needed)
  • Stamp the 3 large flowers, masking the small flowers as needed
  • Mask the 3 large flowers and add another 2 small flowers
  • Add the sentiment from Happy Thoughts to the bottom of the 1st layer
  • Adhere the 1st layer to the front of the card base
  • Add the 3 Gilded Gems
  • On the inner layer stamp some flower buds near the edge
  • Adhere the inner layer to the inside back of the card base
