Welcome to the Tech 4 Stampers Academy Blog Hop

I have totally fallen in love with Buffalo Check. And I believe Buffalo Check and Christmas go so well together. When we moved into our new house I knew right away that I would decorate it Farmhouse style with black and white Buffalo Check. So this year I knew I would have to combine my favorite things. Buffalo Check, and Christmas.

Non-traditional Christmas colors have been something that I fell in love with a long time ago. Don’t get me wrong Real Red and Shaded Spruce are lovely also, but I like to spice things up! Pool party and real red are my actual favorite Christmas color combinations. This year I decided to keep the Pool Party and use Smoky Slate instead of the Real Red. I absolutely love this gray buffalo check paper in the Peaceful Place DSP. When I saw that paper I knew I would have to use it for a Christmas card.

Farmhouse Christmas

Sparkling Snowflake

I started out by using my blending brushes and colored the buffalo check with pool party ink. You can add as much ink and make the paper as dark or as light as you would like. I cut out two different sizes of the rectangle-stitched framelits and stamped the greeting on the whisper white one. Added a wonderful snowflake, which by the way a dimensional is just the right size for the inside of the snowflake. If you hit the light just right you can see how those snowflakes just shimmer. Added a cute bow and you now have a simple and quick Christmas card.
